GEFION
& GYLFE
A piece written for orchestra, 2 soloists and choir for
the opening ceremony of Øresundsbroen, a new bridge connecting
Denmark and Sweden. The lyrics derives from the myth of Gefion, a danish
sorceress, who wheedels Selandia out of the swedish King Gylfe. The text
is ofcourse bilingual, the music dramatic and for the part of King Gylfe
in the style of a traditional swedish folksong.
